Janet A. "Bella" Drygas, 69, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Drygas, her devoted husband of 47 years.
Born December 19, 1955, in Philadelphia, Bella was a daughter of the late Dolores (Sautner) and John Staranowicz, Sr.
Bella was the longtime financial and administrative heart of Squires Golf Club in Ambler, where she worked with dedication and pride for 35 years before retiring in February 2024. She was a devoted member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a proud member of both Sandy Run Country Club and Pocono Farms Country Club.
Bella was the cherished matriarch of her family, a strong and guiding presence who brought everyone together with love, laughter, and tradition. Her home was the heart of every holiday and celebration, always filled with the warmth of her cooking, which she shared with passion and joy. She believed that hosting and food were expressions of love, and her meals, always made with care, were a gift to everyone who gathered at her table.
Bella had a gift for lifting spirits with her warm smile and her infectious, positive energy. Her presence lit up every room, and her strength and grace left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline R. Drygas-Bunker (Jeff) of Coopersburg, and Julia E. del Rosario (Alex) of Bel Air, MD; five beloved grandchildren, Jaxon, Jordyn, Jocelyn, Keegan, and Dominic; two sisters, Deb Stern (Jeff) of Sarasota, FL, and Marlene Weaver (Bob) of Henderson, NV; and her brother, Alexander Staranowicz of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Staranowicz, Jr., and Robert Staranowicz.
