Jean Paul Van Trieste

Jéan Paul Van Trieste, 71, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully at home Friday, November 29, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Janice J. (Sadusky) Van Trieste.

Born October 14, 1948 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Francis Paul and Margaret E. (Byrne) Van Trieste.

Jéan enjoyed spending time outdoors at the beach and mountains, an avid golfer, and animal lover. As a gifted wood craftsman, Jéan relished working with his hands.  Anyone who knew Jéan Paul recognized him as a true friend who would do anything he could to help those who needed it. He was a loving husband, father, pappy, and uncle. Jéan had a zest for life and an overwhelming love for his family. He had a zany sense of humor, happy feet when he danced, and a smile that could light up the sky.

Along with his wife, Janice, Jéan is survived by four daughters, Jessica "Jessy" Van Trieste, Amy Van Trieste-Crossley (Rob), Emilie Van Trieste-Fawley (Steve), and their mother, Jane, and Nicole Lounsberry (Andy); four sisters, Elaine Van Trieste-Hartman (Richard), Margaretann Van Trieste-Corrigan (James), Gail Van Trieste-Moyer (Terry), and the late Michelle Van Trieste-Heacock and her late husband David; was pappy to five grandchildren, Andrew "Jrew", Olivia, Lilianna, Audrey, and Genevieve; mother-in-law, the late Florence Gilpin-Sadusky, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet the family from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale. Interment will be private.
