Joan M. Johnson

Joan M. Johnson, 90, of Telford and formerly of Hilltown, died Saturday, May 2, 2026.  She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Johnson, who died January 17, 2018.

Born November 16, 1935 in Colmar, she was a daughter of the late George and Clara (Kramer) Moyer.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Lansdale School of Business and was employed as a legal secretary for many years, including with Brunner, Conver & Conver before retiring from Dischell Bartle Dooley.

Joan was a longtime, dedicated member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hilltown.  She was an avid card player, especially Bridge and Pinochle, and knitter.

Survivors include her sons, David E. Johnson (late Debbie) of Sellersville, and Dennis B. Johnson of Center Valley; son-in-law, Frank Smolin of Quakertown; five grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Heather Kauf (Steve), Rachel Moyer (Marlin), Zachary Smolin, and Dominique Johnson (Sky); six great-grandchildren, Justin, Kayli, Jordan, Brayden, Adrianna, and McKenzie; and a sister, Miriam Fickert of Hatfield.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Smolin; her twin sister, Jane; four additional sisters, Betty, Esther, Ruth, and Martha; and her brother, Luther "Bud."

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1530 Augsburg Drive, Hilltown, PA 18927 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Joan's memory to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, address above.
