Johanna R. Baitinger

Johanna R. Baitinger, 85, of Lansdale, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 22, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Baitinger, who passed away in 1982.

Born October 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Concetta (Mobilio) Eifler.

Jo was employed with Penn State Great Valley for over thirty years, retiring as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Academic Affairs in 2017.  A faithful servant of Christ, she was a longtime parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Parish, Audubon, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.  She was also active with the Christian Family Movement.

Earlier in life, Jo served as a Cub Leader and was active with the Lower Providence Football League.

Above all else, she will be remembered for her unfailing dedication to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, John F. Baitinger, Jr. of Norwich, CT, Bonnie Jean "BJ" Marth (Fritz) of Hainesport, NJ, Kenneth W. Baitinger (Amy) of Collegeville, Eric E. Baitinger (Melissa) of Lansdale, and James J. Baitinger (Barbara) of Harleysville; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Eifler; and sister, Helen Higgins.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.   Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
