John L. Bisol, 75, of Harleysville, PA, and formerly of Hudson, MA, died Monday, March 11, 2024. He married his beloved wife Christine (Lombardo) May 21, 1972, in Waltham, MA, and they were very proud to have been married over 50 years and raise a beautiful family.
Born March 19, 1948, in Fitchburg, MA, he was the son of the late Angelo J. Bisol, Sr. and Anna M. (DelBeato) Bisol.
John graduated from Leominster Senior High School, class of 1966 and Fitchburg State University, class 1999 where he received a Masters in Education. He went on to receive a certificate of advanced graduate credits in Leadership and Management.
John was an industrious and hardworking problem solver dedicated to lifelong education. He served as the Department Head in Manufacturing Technology at Quinsigamond Community College. He also worked for Worcester Technical High School, Worcester, MA as an Instructor. Among other numerous occupations, he served as General Manager for NexTek, Inc. and worked as an engineer for the Digital Equipment Corporation.
John was a proud and honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force where served for four years during the Vietnam War era. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served as an Aircraft Weapons and Weapons Release Maintenance Specialist and also an Aircraft Crewmember during the war. Additionally he was past commander American Legion Post 100 Hudson, MA.
Along with his wife, survivors include: three daughters Andrea M. Dauphinee (James D. Dauphinee Sr.), of Harleysville, PA, Alyssia L. Berghaus (Brion H. Berghaus), of Maynard, MA, and Alexandra C. Bisol (Kevin D. Jarvis), of Harleysville, PA; grandchildren Isabella M. and James D. Dauphinee Jr., John F. and Bianca E. Berghaus, and Amelia T. Jarvis; siblings Maryann Fraticelli of Leominster, MA, Joseph Bisol of Marlborough, MA, Mark Bisol of Gainesville, FL, Mario Bisol of Holton, ME, Angelo Bisol, Jr. of Fitchburg, MA, Angela Callahan of Fitchburg, MA, Gilda Cannivino of Gardner, MA, Anna Bisol (Griffin) of Leominster, MA, and Lucia Marcil of Lunenburg, MA; and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and in-laws.
He was predeceased in death by siblings, Louis Bisol and Christina Kelley.
John was a prolific author and writer of 45 books, and published several articles in engineering journals. He was a dedicated servant of the church along with lector and Eucharistic Minister; he taught Confirmation preparation for over 15 years at St. Bridget's Church of Maynard, MA and St. Michael's of Hudson, MA.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Corpus Christ Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont with military honors.
