John J. Lane

John "Jack" J. Lane, 82, of Lansdale, PA, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at Elm Terrace Gardens.

Born December 17, 1942, he was a son of the late Eugene and Anna (Fritz) Lane.

In his younger years, Jack spent time on the ocean working as a merchant marine.  Following this, he employed at Merck for over 40 years, where he took great pride in his work.  A lover of the outdoors, he found solace in nature and enjoyed fishing.  Those that knew him best knew that he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.  Jack held a special place in his heart for all animals of the world.

Jack will be remembered as a compassionate and strong-willed father and grandfather that always had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his two daughters, Susan Lane, and Jennifer Crawford, and her husband Ron; his grandchildren, Avery, Emily, and Jayda; his brother, Ed Lane; and his sister, Kathleen McGourney.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446.  A memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM.
