John J. Orzechowski, Sr.

John J. Orzechowski Sr., 78, husband of Carol A. (Henry) Orzechowski, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Lansdale Hospital.


Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph Lanza and Stella Orzechowski.


John was a US Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam war. He was a member of the VFW Norristown and DAV Norristown Chapter #25. John was an avid Phillies Fan, Eagles Fan, loved going to the beach and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.


Surviving with his wife are sons John Orzechowski Jr., husband of Joanne, Robert Orzechowski, husband of Jennifer, Michael Orzechowski, husband of Laura, Michael Russo, husband of Anni, and Matthew Orzechowski, husband of Katie; brother Francis Lanza, husband of Janette; sister Diane Diadato, wife of Joseph; Bonnie Porter wife of Dylan, Jennifer Robinson, Matthew Gable, husband of Esther, Ella, Jack, Lila, Madi, Iris, Gwyneth, Cooper, and McKenzie; and 4 great grandchildren. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his brother Steven Orzechowski.


Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 2:30PM to 3:45PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with a funeral service to begin at 4:00PM. A private burial will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date with military honors.
