Joseph A. Colman

Joseph A. Colman, 84, of Lower Gwynedd and formerly of Lansdale, passed peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2026 surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of the late Jane (McLaughlin) Colman, who died June 23, 2014.

Born August 15, 1941 in Cape May Court House, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Daley) Colman.

Mr. Colman was employed in commercial and retail sales for many years.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Blue Bell.  He will be remembered as a man of deep faith.

Joe's hobbies included gardening, cooking, and spending time in Cape May.

Survivors include his children, Michael Colman of Warminster, David Colman (Rachel Penuliar) of Schwenksville, Jennifer Duffy (Michael) of Medford Lakes, NJ, and Kate Veit (Peter) of Wayne, PA; eight grandchildren; and his siblings, Sister Mary Anne Colman, IHM of Philadelphia, Thomas E. Colman (Mary Lou) of Wayne, PA, James M. Colman (Kathi) of Lewes, DE, William F. Colman (Paula) of Cape Coral, FL, Robert J. Colman (Maryellen) of Ocean City, NJ, and Tina Seamon (Thomas) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Colman and Dan Colman; and his many beloved dogs, especially Maddie.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 750 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be private in the church memorial garden.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
