Joseph B. Drenth, 48, of Chalfont, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Doylestown Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Marsha Drenth.

Born November 19, 1975, he was a son to Ronald R. Drenth and Marcia (Van Someren) Hunter.

Joseph was a member of Grace Community Church of Chalfont, where he aided as an elder and was involved in the worship team and prayer ministry.

Throughout his life, Joseph worked as a Senior Software Engineer at JBT Corporation for 25 years. He served on the board of the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation of Pennsylvania.  He also served on the board of the National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania, where he became their first vice president.  In his leisure time, Joseph enjoyed playing games, especially Scrabble, smoking meat, gardening, and writing codes and website designs.  A man of many talents, Joseph took pride in creating accessible games for the blind, was a self-taught musician, and loved to make balloon animals for children of all ages.

What brough Joseph the most joy in life was his family.  He will be remembered as a caring, selfless provider with a heart that loved unconditionally.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two sons, Lance and Bryan Lindsey; his daughter, Grace Lindsey; his brother, Justin Drenth; his sister, Jessica Drenth; his nephew, Nicholas Drenth; his niece, Kathryn Drenth; his mother-in-law, Deneice Hopper; and his step-father, Robert Hunter.

Joseph is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Mark Hopper.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00pm - 6:30pm at the Grace Community Church, Chalfont.
Memorial services will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 at the Grace Community Church.

Burial services will be held privately.

A memorial contributions fund has been organized by the members of Grace Community Church to offer support to Joseph's family during this difficult time. Click here to contribute to the fund.  Otherwise, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to a charity of ones own choosing.
