Joseph Walter Hayman, 87, of Lansdale, died Thursday, September 17, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Mooney) Hayman, who died February 29, 2016.
Born August 15, 1939 in Ambler, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Robinson) Hayman.
Mr. Hayman was employed in industrial compressor sales with Gardner Denver for his entire career, retiring in the 2000s. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and he was a longtime, dedicated parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lansdale.
Joe served as the Harbor Master of Barnegat Bay Marina for many years and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He will be remembered as one of the last true gentlemen by all who knew him. He was especially dedicated to his two daughters.
Survivors include his daughters, Terri Hayman LaBianca (Joseph) of Lansdale, and Colleen Hayman Langeveld (Peter) of Wall, NJ; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney), Alex, Michael (Jessica), Olivia (Brandon), Joe, Nicholas, Matthew, and Peter; two great-grandchildren, Liliana and Leonardo; and his sister, Jeanne Lobb of Harleysville.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Joseph’s memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
