Joseph R. Worth

Joseph R. Worth, 91, of Lansdale, died Thursday, January 22, 2026.  He was the loving husband of the late Sylvia A. (Bowden) Worth.

Born March 25, 1934 in West Grove, PA he was a son to the late Joseph B. and Elizabeth H. Worth.

Joseph was a long-time member of Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church.  After graduating from Penn State University, he spent his working career as an engineer.

As a young man, Joseph achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.  He honorably served his country in the United States Army, where he developed leadership, responsibility and community.

In his leisure time he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially hitting the links, bowling, and playing cards.  He was a proud member of the "AJs" Club, also known as the Ageless Jocks Club.

He is survived by his children, Kathleen FitzGerald of Quakertown, Susan P. Silfies of Perkasie, Thomas Worth of Lansdale; his grandchildren, Kimberly Osborne, James Silfies, Samantha Silfies; his great-grandchildren, Damian Osborne, Lennon Silfies, Victoria Pacheco and Levi Silfies.

He is predeceased by his son, James S. Worth.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. February 27, 2026 at Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be private in Unionville Cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
