Julius C. Demetrius III, 77, of Lansdale, died Monday, December 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Gerhart) Demetrius.
Born August 30, 1945 in Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Mary Ann (Gibble) and Julius C. Demetrius II.
Julius worked in the printing industry for many years where he earned his Journeyman Press Operator Certificate, retiring from Safeguard Business Systems, Lansdale. He was also employed with Nyce Crete, Lansdale, for a number of years.
Julius was a member of Little Zion Lutheran Church, Telford. He loved camping, especially at Boulder Woods Campground in Green Lane, and was an avid Steelers, Phillies, and Notre Dame fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Julius C. Demetrius IV of Norristown, Patrick A. Demetrius (Nancy) of Lansdale, Dawn Marie Szymanski of Lansdale, Susan L. Berthiaume of Perkiomenville; step sons Barry Gerth of Perkasie and David Gerth (Angie) of Bethlehem; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Cliff of California, Sharon of Connecticut, Shelly of Arizona, and Leanne of California.
Relatives and friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in his memory to Little Zion Lutheran Church, 267 Morwood Road, Telford, PA 18969.
