Katherine (Gross) Garber, 77, of Hatfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Lansdale Hospital.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Bernice (White) Gross.
Kathy was a US Army Vietnam veteran. She worked for many years as a registered nurse before becoming a Nursing Instructor at The James Martin School in the Philadelphia School District. She retired from Nursing in 2016. Kathy loved to do arts and crafts and had a small craft store at the Quakertown market. Every week she had a large following online doing her diamond paintings and selling them to her fans. She also held diamond painting classes for her friends at Derstine Run, where she resided. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with all of her Grandchildren. She was very active in their lives, and considered being a “Mommom” her most important job.
Surviving is daughter Melanie Evert, wife of Scott; grandchildren Kirstyn O’Donnell, Matthew Evert, Andrew Evert, and Caoline Graus, wife of Benjamin.; and brothers Albert Gross, husband of Judy, and James Gross, husband of Christine.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 3:00pm to 3:45pm at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with a memorial service to be held at 4:00pm. Burial will be private and at a later date.
