Kathryn Carlin, 91, of Harleysville and formerly of Plymouth Meeting, died peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. "Cass" was the beloved wife of the late Donald Carlin, with whom she shared 66 loving years of marriage.
Born September 18, 1933, in Philadelphia, she was the devoted matriarch of the Carlin family. She is survived by her three children: Donald Carlin and wife Nancy of Southboro, MA; Michael Carlin and wife Lori of Marmora, NJ; and Kathryn (Carlin) Narducci and husband Stephen of Skippack, PA. She lived to see six grandchildren grow into beautiful adults: Jessica (Carlin) Walker and husband Matthew; Cole Carlin and wife Jessica, Reed Carlin, Skye Carlin, Andrew Narducci, and Morgan Narducci.
She is also survived by her sisters' Dorothy Wolko and Johanna Sheehan.
A voracious reader who never stopped learning, she was known for her uncanny ability to find "deals" most thought impossible. Cass also loved going to the casinos and playing cards.
Despite many years of lingering illnesses, she was able to travel the world, including China, The Holy Land, Europe, South America, and Mexico. She never acted "old", staying current on Politics, Fashion, and even Reality TV. She was employed as an Executive Secretary, most notably at the Plymouth Meeting Mall. Her Faith carried her, as she was a parishioner of The Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Plymouth Meeting, and Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lansdale.
It was her love of family that inspired her in later years, being able to witness the many birthdays, graduations, weddings, and achievements of her cherished grandchildren. Her legacy will be lasting in all she touched.
Family and friends are invited to Cass's visitation between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Private burial for the immediate family will follow Mass at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cass's memory to The Poor Clare Nuns, 593 39th Ave, NW, Naples, FL 34120-3340, or to Family Services "Project Hearth", 3125 Ridge Pike, Eagleville, PA 19403.
Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
