Rev. Kent Gaerthe

Rev. Kent Gaerthe, Sr., 89, of Telford, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025.  He was the beloved husband of Doris (Smith) Gaerthe, his wife of 62 years.

Born December 7, 1935 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Mabel (Kent) Gaerthe.

Rev. Gaerthe enjoyed serving others, most recently at Bridge Community Church, Lansdale.  He also worked as a machinist at Leeds & Northrup for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Anna M. Gaerthe of Telford, Kent Gaerthe, Jr. (Sheryl) of Allentown, and William C. Gaerthe (Rochelle) of Telford; four grandchildren, Andrew Gaerthe (Samantha), Trent Gaerthe (Bailey), Kristen Gaerthe, and Wayne Gaerthe; and his sister, Faith Green of Blooming Glen.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Community at Rockhill, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Graveside Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
