Kevin Scott Heil

Kevin S. Heil passed away at his home on Thursday August 21st, 2025. He is survived by Inge Heilveil (mother), Danielle Potter (sister), and Peter Roehr (uncle), as well as many wonderful friends.

He worked in IT for Merck & Co., Inc. for over 20 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  One of his favorite things to do was to sit in the back yard with Murphy (his 4-legged nephew) and just enjoy nature or have a cigar with his friends.  He loved having breakfast at Tigers and hanging out with the other regulars.

One of Kevin's greatest joys was spending time with his mother.  Whether it was going to an antique store, a farmers' market, the German butcher, or most importantly Homegoods, he never hesitated.  Even if this meant patiently waiting in the car, he never once complained.

Kevin was into the classics! He loved classic rock and country music, classic cars and what he referred to as classic shows.  Shows such as Emergency, and The Streets of San Francisco, with his all-time favorite being The Rockford files.


He was a kind and generous son, brother, and friend.  In the past year, Kevin had found Christ and was baptized this past spring.  Being baptized was something very important to Kevin and brought him much peace.

While Kevin will be dearly missed, we find comfort in knowing he is with his Savior and of course, our sweet boy,  Murphy.

Per Kevin's wishes there will not be a service, but in time we will have a celebration of life in his honor.
