Kevin Murphy, 43, of Hatfield, died Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Born September 4, 1972 in Philadelphia, he was a son of Ed Murphy and his wife, Terri, of Hatfield, and Christine (Field) Childress and her husband, Scott, of Susquehanna, PA.
Kevin graduated from North Penn High School with the Class of 1991. He received his BA from the University of Oregon and MA from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA.
Kevin was an accomplished artist, musician, and photographer. A talented singer-songwriter, he had many recording credits to his name, including sessions at RCA Studio B in Nashville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Christopher Murphy of Lansdale, Timothy Ryan (Mary Sue) of Naples, FL, Bernadette Bresnahan (Eric) of Wyomissing, Jennifer Wesley of Souderton, and Eamon Murphy (Estee), also of Naples; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
