Dr. Kimberlee D. (DeFrates) Haufler, 66, wife of Kurt Haufler, passed away on Friday, August 11 at home after a battle with breast cancer.
Born in Palm Springs, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Audrey J. (Alleva) DeFrates.
Kimberlee grew up in Audubon NJ. She received her undergraduate degree of biology at Rutgers University and went on to receive her doctorate of Chiropractic from Pennsylvania Straight College of Chiropractic in 1984. Kimberlee opened Healthline Chiropractic in Center City Philadelphia, 22nd & Delancey Street in 1986, until 1997, when she sold the practice and became at stay home Mom to raise her family and home school her 3 kids. She was very active with her church "Calvary Baptist Church of Lansdale" where she served for over 29 years. Kimberlee was very passionate about her family, food, and Chiropractic where she opened "Health Connections Family Chiropractic" in their home in 2016. She inspired all three of her children to follow suit in the holistic health field. They also resided in Trout Run, Pennsylvania and Inman, South Carolina at different times of the year.
Surviving with her husband are daughters Alexandra Haufler, fiancé of Daniel Williams, Elizabeth Haufler, fiancé of Anthony Uriarte; son Konrad Haufler, husband of Faith; brother Thomas DeFrates Jr., husband of Denise; and aunt Charlene Lefebvre.
