In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Kokiba

Celebrating 95 Years of Strength, Faith, and Family

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her 95 beautiful years, we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was the devoted wife of Late Shri Bhalchandra Motilal Jani and mother of Mala, Pragna, Hemendra, Late Shridevi, Geeta, and Madhvi.

Kokiba’s life was a remarkable testament to strength, resilience, sacrifice, and unconditional love. As a young bride, she shouldered responsibilities far beyond her years. With limited financial means, she lovingly raised her six children while also caring for two widowed sisters-in-law and their children, as well as her widowed mother, who lived to nearly 95. Balancing the needs of so many family members required extraordinary patience, courage, and selflessness. She met these challenges with quiet determination, placing her family’s well-being above her own and becoming a pillar of strength for generations.

After losing her beloved husband nearly 30 years ago, she continued her journey with courage and grace, embracing life and remaining deeply connected to her family. She enjoyed wonderful travels across the United States and abroad with her son and daughter-in-law, including memorable trips to Hawaii, Alaska, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Europe. Her annual winter visits to India with her daughter Pragna brought her immense happiness.

Lovingly known as Kokiba by her 13 grandchildren and cherished by her 19 great-grandchildren, she found immense joy in watching her family grow. Meeting her newest great-grandchild, Asha, in April was a particularly precious moment that brought her renewed strength during her last illness.

A deeply spiritual woman and ardent devotee of Amba Maa, she faithfully continued her daily pooja, singing devotional bhajans, and reading religious scriptures until her final days. Our family finds comfort in believing that Amba Maa called her home during the sacred days of Navratri, welcoming her into the embrace of the Divine Mother she worshipped throughout her life.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her daughter-in-law, Gita Jani, for the extraordinary love and care she provided, going above and beyond in her devotion to Kokiba. We are equally grateful to Pratimaben, who cared for her like a sister, and our sister Geeta Hans, who consistently stepped forward to help Bhai and Bhabhi whenever needed and beyond.

Kokiba leaves behind a legacy of remarkable strength, faith, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Her courage and devotion to family will continue to inspire generations to come. We are forever grateful for the blessing of having her in our lives and take comfort in believing she is reunited with her beloved husband and resting at the divine feet of Amba Maa.

May Amba Maa grant our beloved Kokiba eternal peace and sadgati. May her blessings continue to guide and protect our family for generations to come.

Jai Ambe Maa. Om Shanti.
