Kokila N. Sheth

Kokila Nilesh Sheth, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 57 years of age, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born on February 10, 1968, in Mumbai, India, Kokila was the daughter of Pushpa and Amulakh Parekh and daughter-in-law of Jayshree and Keshavlal Sheth. She moved to the United States in 1993 and made Lansdale, Pennsylvania her home for the majority of her life.

Kokila earned a double degree in Bachelors of Science and Home Science, as well as a degree in Fashion Design, a reflection of her wide-ranging talents and passions. After coming to the United States, she obtained her PHD at Temple University Pharmacy School and proceeded to dedicate over 23 years to her career as a clinical pharmacist. Her life was a testament to the American Dream: through hard work, determination, and grace, she built a meaningful life filled with purpose and unconditional love for others. She was very eager to learn new things and had a deep passion for yoga, traveling, and cooking.

In the final chapter of her life, Kokila underwent a double lung transplant after developing severe complications during a lung biopsy. During her recovery, she faced additional challenges, including kidney failure. Despite these setbacks, she showed incredible strength and resilience throughout a nine-month recovery. Kokila remained motivated and full of faith, overcoming each obstacle with determination. Just as she was making remarkable progress, she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and passed away with her loved ones by her side. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering courage.

Kokila is survived by her beloved husband, Nilesh Sheth; her parents, Pushpa and Amulakh Parekh; her in-laws, Jayshree and Keshavlal Sheth, and her siblings Nayna Gosalia, Purnima Sanghvi, Ashwin Parekh, and Jignesh Parekh. She was predeceased by her older brother, Jaysukh Parekh, who passed away in 2005.

She is also survived by her loving children, Rishi and Riya Sheth, who were the pride and joy of her life. Kokila also leaves behind many dear nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends, all of whom will remember her for her warmth, strength, perseverance, and unwavering love.

Her life was one of quiet resilience and generous spirit. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
