Lenore D. (Nicholas) Baker of North Wales, passed away peacefully at Gwynedd Healthcare on January 19, 2024. She was 92 years old. Lenore was the loving wife to her late husband Henry Baker for 69 years prior to his passing in 2018.
Lenore was born March 8, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis Nicholas and Myrtle (Bartle) Nicholas. She attended Germantown High School and Faith Church where she met and married her husband Henry in 1949. They moved to Upper Gwynedd in 1951, built their own home and raised four children.
Her childhood summers were spent by the sand and surf in Wildwood NJ. Those days continued through her life to include sailing, biking and walking the beaches with her extended family. Lenore and Henry fulfilled their retirement by traveling extensively and following a healthy lifestyle. Grandkids and Great grandkids filled her heart with love for the large family she never got to experience as an only child.
Lenore will be remembered by all the lives she touched for her mac 'n cheese, baking, organization, calm demeanor, and unconditional warmth she carried with her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, William (Cindy) Baker, Robert (Debbe) Baker, Debra Jaeger, and Nancy (Gregory) Fox; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory T. Fox Jr, son-in-law, Richard Jaeger.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:00-10:00 AM, Friday, February 2nd, 2024, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale where the service will be held at 10:00 AM.
