In Loving Memory of Linda M. Leggieri
April 4, 1948 – November 8, 2025
With love and gratitude for a life devoted to others, we share that Linda Mastronardo Leggieri passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 4, 1948, Linda spent her life caring for people — as a nurse, educator, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Villanova University, Linda went on to achieve her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Trauma and Burn Care from Widener University. She spent nearly 30 years at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital – Methodist Division, where she served as Nurse Manager in the Cardiac Care Unit before continuing her work in Cardiac Rehabilitation and ultimately concluding her career as a Nursing Instructor. Throughout her years in healthcare, Linda was admired for her skill, patience, and the calm reassurance she brought to every situation.
Linda faced every challenge with strength, determination, and courage. She was a fighter — resilient and steadfast — always finding a way forward with grace and perseverance. Those who knew her best will remember her sense of humor, her independence, and her stubbornness that so often served her well. She was also the person everyone turned to with a medical question — always ready to listen and help.
At home, Linda's greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent with loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "GiGi." A proud and loyal Philadelphia sports fan, Linda never missed a Phillies or Eagles game on TV, cheering on her teams with passion and heart. Her warmth, laughter, and love will always be part of the family she cared for so deeply.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Leggieri, her children Lisa (KK) Leggieri and Paul Leggieri, and her grandchildren Michael and Adelina Leggieri, who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Robin (Charlie) Gilligan and Keith (Jeanine) Leggieri, brother Thomas (Toni) Mastronardo and nephews Jeffrey (Melissa), Tom, and Joseph (Leslie).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda's memory to a nursing or healthcare education charity of your choice — honoring the profession to which she dedicated her life.
