Lonny Lee Eckert, 55, of Eagleville, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

Born November 24, 1965 in Lansdale, he was the son of Richard and Faye Eckert.

After graduating from North Penn High School in Lansdale, he attended college at Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Lonny began his professional
career as a physicist with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Later in life, he attended
Penn State University and transitioned to a second career in information technology, working
most recently as a senior programmer and analyst for PMA Companies in Blue Bell. His co-
workers praise his integrity, honesty, and passion for the job.

Lonny was an exuberant, generous and loving son, brother, and uncle. He had diverse and
unique interests throughout his life including: ballroom dancing, the Philadelphia Eagles,
astronomy, and gaming. He was an avid movie buff as well. His family and friends spent many
hours with him watching and discussing films from his extensive library.

Lonny is survived by his mother, Faye Eckert; his sisters, Terry Troy and Laurie Burbank; and
his brother, Ronald Eckert. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Lonny was preceded in death by his father, Richard Eckert.

Services will be held at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale, PA on November 19, 2021 at 11:00am
