Louis N. “Lou” Pomante, 90, husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Clawges) Pomante, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Arnold and Rose (Vassalluzzo) Pomante.

Louis met Peggy in 1957 while he was a drum instructor in a drum and bugle corp and were married for almost 68 years. It was the same year he received his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University. He went on to become president at Allegro Micro Systems in Willow Grove. Lou was a trained pilot, enjoyed scuba diving, and was a talented photographer.

Lou was a devoted husband to Peggy. Peggy and Lou traveled extensively. They enjoyed yearly trips to Florida, 13 cruises, trips to Bermuda, Tahiti, and all the Caribbean Islands. The couple moved to Foulkeways 8 years ago. They enjoyed making friends and becoming involved in the community.

He is predeceased by his sister Marie Kerns, and brother Arnold Pomante.
