Marjorie Kraekel

Marjorie Wells (Sudlow) Kraekel, 97, wife of the late Frederick W. Kraekel III, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, and raised in Mount Airy, she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Marjorie Eleanor (Lewis) Sudlow. During her childhood the Sudlow family enjoyed spending their summers in Bay Head NJ. She was a 1946 graduate of Friends Select High School in Philadelphia. In 1960, she married her late husband where they went on to live in Ambler and Lower Gwynedd. For the past 26 years, she resided at Brittany Pointe Estates.  Marjorie was a member of many organizations including the Church of the Messiah in Lower Gwynedd, the Daughters of the American Revolution in Philadelphia and the Highlands Historical Society. She was also a longtime member of Plays & Players where she acted in plays in the 1950s. Marge's focus was on her family and was always full of fun during their reunions in Seaside Park, NJ.

Surviving children are Patricia Firster, wife of Matthew, Frederick W. Kraekel IV, and Kathryn Hudson; her triplet siblings Eleanor (Nonie) Krause, Geraldine Beardsley White and Richard B. Sudlow; and grandchildren Jeffrey, Peter, Benjamin, Leah, and Dylan. Along with her husband and parents she is predeceased by her sister Phyllis Sudlow Tickner and brother George Jay Sudlow.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
