Marjorie Alice Mareno

June 30, 1941 — April 10, 2025

Marjorie Alice Mareno, 83, of Sellersville, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025.  She was the loving wife of the late Martin Mareno.

Born June 30, 1941 in Abington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Kathryn (Bauer) Hawthorne.

Marjorie found her true calling as a Home Healthcare Aide in which she poured her heart and soul.  She touched countless lives through her work, offering not only care but also companionship and dignity to those who needed it the most.  She was truly an angel on earth, always ready with a smile, a kind word, or a gentle touch.

Beyond her professional life, Marjorie cherished her time with her beloved husband, Martin. Together they shared many joyful memories, especially traveling to Atlantic City and Seaside Heights with their children. Walking the boardwalk, experiencing the casinos, beaches and breathing in the ocean breeze were among her happiest memories. She cherished all of the family get togethers and made sure the entire family had fun.

She is survived by her children, James R. Myers, Rebecca Mareno (Dan Gerhart), Russell Mareno (Lisa); her grandchildren, Paul Myers (Jessica), Russell G. Mareno (Kate), Lauren Direso (Steve), Kristen Maloney (Nolan); and her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jackson, Carter, Dillon, and McKenna.

Marjorie is predeceased by her brother, Robert Hawthrone.

Relatives and friends may call between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2025 at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Wayside Chapel, 1156 Horsham Road, Ambler, PA 19002 followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements are by the Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA.
