Mark Andrew Halberstadt, 71, of Lansdale, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Born September 28, 1954 in Abington, PA, he was a son of the late William Raymond and Madelon Michelle (Meyer) Halberstadt, Jr.
The hum of compressors and the scent of fresh paint defined Mark's world; as a professional car painter, he painted over 10,000 vehicles, each one was a testament to his steady hand and unyielding pride in the job being done right. He was a true artist.
The garage was Mark's sanctuary. Friends and neighbors knew they could count on him for advice, a spare part, or the loan of a tool if needed.
From 1952, when his parents first got married and having started the Eagles Season Ticket holder tradition at Franklin Field to the years at Veterans Stadium where Mark took over the season tickets into the start of Lincoln Financial Field, he braved whatever weather conditions were in the works rooting on the Birds! Sports and cars aside, nothing lit his face like the sound of "Grandpop." He was so proud having his first and only grandson, Lou, who was his greatest thrill born April 1, 2025. Every time Mark got together with Lou, you couldn't wipe the smile off his face.
Mark is survived by his sons, Mark A. Halberstadt, Jr. (Tessia) of Lansdale, Eric Halberstadt (Marissa) of Haddon Township, NJ; his grandson, Lou Salvatore Halberstadt; his brothers, William R. Halberstadt, III of Hilltown, Geoffrey L. Halberstadt of State College, and Curtis A. Halberstadt of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Funeral services are private and under the direction of Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA.
