Mary Ann (Johnson) Haberle, 84, of Hilltown passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on February 20, 1941, in Sellersville, Mary Ann was the youngest of 9 children. She was the loving wife to the late Glenn Haberle for 56 years.
Surviving Mary Ann are her children, Bradley Haberle (Maria) and Wendy Doña (Nathan); her grandchildren, Sebastian, Mathilda, Bryn and Nathanael; her sister Elaine Ervin, along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Max and Ella Johnson, her brothers, John, Robert, Richard, Ernest, Raymond, Don and her sister Regina.
For the last several years, Mary Ann resided at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge and developed wonderful friendships with the staff and residents. She enjoyed the many activities, including playing word games and bingo, and was known to be very competitive. She always had a smile on her face, enjoyed humor and had a contagious laugh.
Mary was technically savvy on social media and was often seen interacting with family and friends to stay connected. Her daily interactions will be missed by all who knew her.
In her early married life, she dedicated her time harvesting home grown vegetables and fruits from the garden, in preparation for the winter or preparing wonderful meals for the family, including homemade strawberry pies. She was an active member of the Homemaker Cooking Club in high school. Mary also enjoyed the outdoors like boating, waterskiing and Archery, where she met her husband. She had a passion for cars and enjoyed driving around town. Mary enjoyed country and southern gospel music and participated in many local concerts to see her favorite artists. She treasured her family, especially her grandchildren and was affectionately known as 'Grandma'.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Rd., Chalfont, followed by Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
