Mary F. "Kay" Garrity

Mary F. Garrity (Kay), 91, of Lansdale, died Sunday, May 31, 2026. She was the wife of the late James Garrity, who died August 14, 2013.

Born November 3, 1934 in Schenectady, NY, she was a daughter of the late James and Anne (Gillouly) FitzGibbon.

Kay graduated from college with a degree in mathematics and went to work for GE in the Space Program. A life-long learner, she took classes in accounting, computer programming and became a certified financial planner. She made a lovely home for her family and volunteered for many of her children’s activities. When she wasn’t focused on others, she was an avid bridge player and became a Life Master. She was always active and loved swimming, walking and many of the fitness activities at Brittany Pointe. She was a longtime parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lansdale.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Garrity (David Hutchinson) of Oreland; and sister, Agnes Murdoch (David) of Evanston, IL and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin A. Garrity; brother, J. Michael FitzGibbon; sister, Sheila Hill.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2026 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
