Mary L. Nolan

Mary L. Nolan, 80, of Pennsburg, PA passed away on October 10, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Nolan who passed away in 1992, and whom she met when she fainted at work one day, and he was a handsome supervisor who came to her rescue, and later the two married. Born November 11, 1937 in Carlisle, PA she was one of eight girls and two boys born to the late Elwood C. and the late Bernice (nee Batdorf) Stopfel.

Mary was a 1955 graduate of Pottstown High School, and after getting married she mainly resided and raised her family in Lansdale, PA. In addition to being a full-time homemaker, Mary had also been employed as a Supervisor for Quality Artworks in Montgomeryville for many years. After her retirement she moved to Pennsburg, PA, and she enjoyed it when family members, grandkids, and great-grandkids "stopped by". She loved board games, playing cards, and simply sitting around the kitchen table talking. Mary was also the best mashed potato maker in the world! Her cabinets and candy dishes were always full, and so was her heart with the love she had for her family. She lived simply and happily and will be missed beyond words, and she will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her children, Michael E. Nolan, of Pennsburg, PA, Mary K. "Kathy" Lee (Tom), of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Patrick J. Nolan (Sharon), of Souderton, her grandchildren, Jenny Caciola (Dan), Chris Nolan (Kate), Kristen Lee, Matthew Lee, Monica Lee, and Kelly Wood, her great-grandchildren, Teagan, Bella, Ben, Emmett, and Mia, her sisters, Jean Pool, Kay Emory, Linda Yocum, Nancy Updegrove, and Joanne Goff.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday morning, October 18, 2018 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446 where her Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM. Inurnment will be held on Saturday morning, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Saint John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted, and that those desiring to do so may make a memorial contribution in her name to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Boulevard, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103, and which would be deeply appreciated by her family
