Matthew C. McNally, 71, of Lansdale, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
He was born July 3, 1954, in Allentown, PA, to the late Thomas and Mary Ellen (McGonigle) McNally.
He attended Lansdale Catholic High School and obtained his bachelor's and law degree from Fordham University. He was an editor at Westlaw for many years and also stayed home for several years to raise his daughters, Meghan and Moira, who will miss him very much.
He met his loving partner, Kathy Setash, in 2013. She brought him on many adventures around the world, which we promise he enjoyed once he got there.
Much to his parents' dismay, he insisted on becoming a drummer, and shared his passion for music with his daughters, his partner, and those involved in the local music scene.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rosemary Brown, and her husband, Bud, of Scottsdale, Arizona, Timothy McNally of Hobe Sound, Florida, and Grace McNally of Washington, DC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen McNally.
He will be remembered as a loving father, caring partner, a mentor and friend by his colleagues and bandmates. He will also be remembered for his dry wit, his gift of gab, and for his sensitive, thoughtful, and empathetic nature.
A visitation will be held after 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the service to remember Matthew at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Save the Music Foundation at https://www.savethemusic.org/take-action/ways-to-donate/
