Michael T. Taber

Michael T. Taber, 81, of Hatfield and formerly of Westminster, MD died Tuesday, October 27, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Walker) Taber and the late Marian (Koch) Taber, who died October 13, 1995.

Born October 5, 1945 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late William and Ardelle (Tawney) Taber.

Mr. Taber was employed in heavy equipment maintenance for many years, most recently with BWI Airport. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He also loved model trains and restoring old vehicles, especially tractors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ryan Taber (Stephanie) of Woodbridge, VA, and Christy DeMartino (Tim) of Mechanicsburg, PA; his step-children, Joseph Mongan (Lisa) of Lansdale, Sandra Markley (Chris) of Hatfield, and Beth Mongan of Lansdale; and eight grandchildren, Brandon, Kai, Luke, Hailey, Caiden, Grayson, Aubrey, and Estella.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Taber.

Relatives and friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
