Michael C. Wister

Michael C. Wister, 58, of Lansdale, owner of Wister's Barbecue in Lansdale, passed away suddenly after a short illness at home on Saturday, September 28, 2024.


Born in  Elizabeth, NJ on April 18, 1966, he was the son of the late Michael David and Judith E. (Spatz) Wister.

First and foremost, Michael loved BBQ. Over the course of 20 years, he and Diana owned a few smaller roadside stands serving customers throughout the area. In the last two and a half years, he owned and operated Wister's Barbecue (the former Smoke Daddy's) on Main Street for 5 years, then moving to Broad street in Lansdale for 2 years.
He loved music and collecting cool cars, with one of his pride cars being his Dodge Challenger SRT Demon he purchased a few years ago. In 2000 he received his BS in finance from Temple University.

Surviving is his son Michael J. Wister of Quakertown; and  ex wife Diana Bromiley.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 9:00AM to 10:45Am with a Memorial Service to begin at 11:00AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale.
