Nancy J. Derby

Nancy J. Derby, 81, of Lansdale, died Thursday, January 23, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of William J. Derby.

Born April 29, 1943 in Abington, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Olga (Atkins) Clegg.

Nancy was employed as a school librarian for many years, retiring from Pennsbury School District in 2005.  An avid reader, she was a member of numerous book clubs with her friends and family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Wesley Hall (Cheryl) of Collegeville, and Kristin Gilchrist (Matthew) of Iowa City, IA; her step-daughter, Trista Schultz (Paul) of Harleysville; and six grandchildren, Austin, Ada, Joshua, Calvin, Jared, and Lauren.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Brittany Pointe Estates, 1001 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, followed by the Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be private.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
