Patricia A. Cox

Mar 11, 1937 — Oct 31, 2026

Patricia A. Cox, 89, of Fort Myers, FL, and Lansdale, PA, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the prayers of the Church she cherished. She was the beloved wife of Raymond F. Cox, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.

Born March 11, 1937, in Jersey City, NJ, Patricia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Nestor) Devaney.

Patricia lived a life defined by three unwavering tenets: faith, family, and friends. She expressed each not merely through words, but through a lifetime of devotion and meaningful action. Her faith was not simply something she practiced, but something she breathed. With a Rosary never far from her hands and her door always open, she understood that love was more than a feeling; it was a choice made daily—in every prayer offered, every place set at the table, and every grandchild held close.

Patricia worked for many years as a service representative with Bell Telephone. She was an active member of St. Stanislaus, Corpus Christi, and St. Maria Goretti Catholic Churches, where her early involvement included leadership in religious education through the CCD program.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her five children: Raymond J. Cox (Heather) of Encinitas, CA; Patricia A. Steinbrech (Ken) of Solon, IA; Steven J. Cox (Jill) of Coopersburg, PA; Michael P. Cox (Rhonda) of Longwood, FL; and Mark T. Cox (Margaret) of Harleysville, PA. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Owen, Ian, Meghan, Connor, Courteney, Raymond, Ryan, Shane, Christopher, Aidan, and Rachel.

She was preceded in death by her six siblings: Eleanor, John, Joseph, Madeline, James, and Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440 at 100:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2026 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church at the address above.
