Patricia A. Ruch

Patricia “Pat” A. Ruch, 80, passed away on June 6, 2026 at the Peter Becker Community.

It is with deep love and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Pat Ruch, a remarkable woman whose life was defined by devotion to her family, friends, creative spirit, and joyful embrace of life’s simple pleasures.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Pat leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater happiness than gathering together and telling family stories—especially during the holidays. Halloween held a special place in Pat’s heart; she delighted in dressing up in imaginative costumes, sharing laughter and creating lasting traditions that her loved ones will forever hold close.

Pat had a lifelong love for animals and found great joy in their companionship. Many of Pat’s happiest days were spent in Ocean City, New Jersey, where she enjoyed riding her bike along the boardwalk, breathing in the sea air, and spending treasured moments with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Her talents extended into the kitchen, where she expressed her love through cooking. Whether preparing everyday meals or special holiday feasts, she brought people together with her delicious creations and generous spirit. Creative and artistic, she had an eye for beauty and a remarkable sense of style. Whether through her personal expression, her home or her work, she brought elegance and individuality to everything she touched.

For ten years, Pat proudly owned and operated the Huntingdon Valley Cheese Shop, where she built not only a successful business but also lasting relationships within the community. Her warmth and enthusiasm made everyone feel welcome, and her shop became a beloved gathering place for many.

Surviving with his wife is son Christopher Ruch, husband of Beth; daughters Jackie Meehan, wife of John, and Carolyn Ellis, wife of Mike; grandchildren Jennifer Bertolino, wife of Joe, Louis C. Ruch, husband of Shannon, Madelyn Meehan, Sagan Ellis and Zachary Meehan; and great grandson Owen Ruch.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Ruch, Jr. and her son, Louis C. Ruch (Lisa).

Pat will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her creativity, and as a woman whose life was filled with laughter, kindness and connection. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who loved her.

Services and Interment will be held privately.
