Polly Ann (Tyson) Lodise, 94, of North Wales, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, with her son and daughter lovingly by her side.
Born on September 9, 1931, in Abington, Polly was the daughter of the late Charles and Katharine (Sidman) Tyson.
Polly's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to Richard (the late Denise) and Katharine Mary, and a grandmother to two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than when everyone was gathered—sharing stories, laughter, and love around the table.
Those who knew Polly will always remember her for her impeccable sense of style. She was always put together, with her hair perfectly done and a little touch of lipstick. Even in her later years, she carried herself with the same grace and care that defined her throughout her life.
She also had a sweet tooth that delighted everyone who knew her—Polly believed that life was too short not to start the day with a Tastykake or a little something sweet.
A lifelong reader, Polly always had a book nearby. She loved to lose herself in a good story, and her curiosity and love of learning never faded. Those who knew her best will remember her warmth, her wisdom, and her ability to listen with both patience and compassion. And as every call or visit came to an end, you could count on her gentle "Nighty night," a simple phrase that carried all her love and tenderness.
Polly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony, her brother, David, and her daughter-in-law, Denise. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 919 Tennis Avenue, Maple Glen, PA 19002, immediately followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Polly will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Polly's memory to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, at the address above.
