Preston "Lowell" Moyer

Preston "Lowell" Moyer, 81, of Souderton, went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth M. Moyer who died December 12, 2020.

Born August 15, 1943, in Lansdale, PA, he was the son of the late Preston F. and Anna M. (Delp) Moyer.

Lowell was a member of Souderton Mennonite Church. He served in the Naval Air Force in active for two years, and then six years in the reserves.

He is survived by three daughters, Kipp Glass (Michael), of Harleysville, Jan Moyer, of Lansdale, and Thea Moyer, of Souderton; siblings, Esther Hedrick, of Lansdale and Dennis Moyer (Audrey), of Cary, NC.

Lowell was an avid fan of the local Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies. He also enjoyed following and cheering for all school sports teams where his children, nieces or nephews attended.

Lowell loved the Outer Banks and regular family vacations there was a highlight for him. He enjoyed fishing and eating fresh caught seafood while on the island.

Walking was a passion for Lowell. To retain his physical and mental wellbeing, he usually walked three or more miles per day in the Souderton Mennonite Homes, often brightening other's days by stopping to say hello.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10 until 11:30 A.M.at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W Summit St, Souderton, PA 18964.

Celebration Of Life Service at Souderton Mennonite Church

Celebration of Life Services will begin Friday, January 10, 2025, 3:30 P.M. at Souderton Mennonite Church, 105 W Chestnut St, Souderton, PA 18964.  The service may be streamed here:

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lowell's name may be made to: Souderton Mennonite Church (hearing assistance equipment).
