In Loving Memory of Rajinder Mohan Malhotra March 12, 1940 – July 24, 2026, age 86

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rajinder Mohan Malhotra, beloved father and grandfather, who passed away on July 24, 2026 at the age of 86.

Born on March 12, 1940 in India to the late Lajpat Rai Malhotra and Shanti Devi (Chopra), Raj grew up in India and went on to become a highly accomplished architect. He immigrated to Australia, where he lived for three years, before coming to the United States in 1968 to build the next chapter of his life. In 1971, he married the love of his life, his beautiful wife Sharad (predeceased), and together they built a family rooted in love, resilience, and purpose.

Raj had a distinguished career, designing projects for major companies including P&G, GM, and Eli Lilly. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he generously donated his time and expertise to churches, temples, and numerous other nonprofit organizations, leaving his mark not just on skylines, but on communities.

He will be remembered as a caring, humble, and fearless man — a devoted father and grandfather whose quiet strength and generosity touched everyone who knew him. Raj was also a beloved devotee of Mata Rani.

Raj is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law, Arunima and Wadell Pierce, Natasha and Dr. Indranil Bagchi, Rajshri and Neil Patil, and Sujata and Brian Pond, and his nine grandchildren: Anthony, Krishan, Shaun, Mohan, Nikhil, Celina, Sahil, Ishaan, and Sanjay.
