Richard H Hamilton, Jr.

June 3, 1957 — February 14, 2025

Richard (Rich) H. Hamilton Jr, 67, of Hatfield, PA, sadly passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at his

Home.

He was the loving husband and best friend of Colleen (Regan) Hamilton for 41 years.

Born June 3, 1957, he was the son of Richard H. Hamilton Sr. and the late Nancy (Atkinson)

Hamilton.

Throughout his life, Rich had a passion for collecting, appreciating both his collections of fine art and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed dabbling in finance. Along with his wife, he found joy in scuba diving and taking bike rides, often exploring the local trails, along with his two nephews and niece. At his leisure, he took pleasure in vacationing annually at the beach in Ocean City, NJ with family and or alone with his wife. He would relax and read the paper, while his wife walked the beach and together they enjoyed riding the waves. He and his wife also enjoyed  many vacations in Puerto Vallarta, along with other Island destinations. He also enjoyed spending time with his Dad at his West Virginia property. Rich held a special place in his heart for his two cocker spaniels, Susie and Mitsie, who he always cared for as if they were his children.

Rich will be remembered as a caring and devoted husband that was always helpful to the people around him. He was active in AA for 30 years and during that time he encouraged and helped many other people.

In addition to his wife and father, Rich is survived by his three sisters, Nancy Collins, and husband Carl, Suzanne Hamilton, and husband Michael Kennedy, and Kimberly Livezey, and husband Charles (Chip); his eight nieces and nephews; Kimmi (Holt), James and Gary (Regan), Meredith (Nguyen), Megan (Collins), Tyler, Carley and Austin (Livezey); his sister-in-law, Maureen Zaccardo, and husband Michael; and his aunt, Dr. Susan Atkinson, and husband Steve Clark; along with many other loving family members.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Donations can be made in his honor to the MCSPCA 19 East Ridge Pike Conshohocken, PA 19428, or montgomerycountyspca.org

Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
