Richard C. Thayer

Richard C. Thayer, 88, of Hatfield, died Wednesday, June 29, 2022.  He was the husband of Dorothy (O'Neill) Thayer.

Born July 11, 1933 in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Clinton and Esther (Hartman) Thayer.

Mr. Thayer was employed with Bell Telephone Company for many years, retiring as a supervisor in the 1980s.  He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served his country honorably during the Korean War.  Richard was also a member of the VFW Forrest Lodge Post #245, Sellersville, and the Hatfield American Legion Post 933.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Brett R. Thayer (Karen) of Bechtelsville; step-son, David Thayer of Hatfield; and granddaughter, Kelsey Thayer of Bechtelsville.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Bright.

Graveside services will be held privately in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
