Rita Monostori

Rita Monostori, 94, of Lansdale, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at her residence.

She was the loving partner of Marianne Zangara for over 59 years.

Born October 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Katherine (Wahlers) Rathje.

Throughout her life, Rita maintained a keen eye for fashion and style as well as an artistic touch with makeup.   She enjoyed travelling with her partner, Marianne, reading a good book, dancing, and drinking a glass of wine among family and friends.

Rita will be remembered as a devoted partner, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that always had a wonderful sense of humor.

Together with her partner, she helped raise two great-grandchildren, Lisa and Anja.  She is survived by them as well as her daughter, Lydia Castro; her grandchildren, Michelle, Christopher, and Eric; other great-grandchildren, Cristina, Tenae, Tatiana, Alfred, and Elijah; and her great-great-grandchildren, Jayden and Ava.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
