Rita Wilhelm

Rita Wilhelm, 82, of Lansdale, died Sunday, July 13, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of Heinz Wilhelm, her husband of 62 years.

Born December 20, 1942 in Neustettin, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Erwin and Lydia (Kumfort) Kories.

Mrs. Wilhelm owned and operated Joe's Market, Ardsley, with her family for 50 years.   Before moving to the United States at the age of 18, she was a skilled seamstress and fashion knitter in Germany.  She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and being a wonderful hostess to family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ralf H. Wilhelm (Teresa) of Lansdale, and Monika W. Brown (Douglas) of Souderton; four grandchildren, Alyssa Minnick (George), Danielle Wilhelm, Colin Wilhelm, and Zachary Brown; two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Owen; and her brother, Horst F. Kories (Margit) of Chalfont.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Erika Pahlke.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
