Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Bob Astheimer, 75, of Perkiomenville on September 11, 2025. He was the loving husband of Karen (Griffin) Astheimer.
Born December 13, 1949 in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Albert Richard and Grace (MacIntyre) Astheimer.
Bobby lived a life full of generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Karen, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Along with Karen, he is survived by his brother, Mark Astheimer (Jeannie) of Harleysville, PA. Bob had a special place in the hearts of his brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Smith of Harleysville, PA, Robert Griffin (Barbara) of Furlong, PA, Sallie Astheimer of Zieglerville, PA, Colleen Hartley (Richard) of Pennsburg, Christine Erickson (Philip) of Sellersville, PA, and Kathy Hendricks (Brett) of Souderton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Mandi, Kelsie, Jamie, Jackie, Jenny, Mike, Shannon, Kelly, Jacob, Abby, Trevers, Ryan, Amanda, Tim, and Danielle; so many "great" nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats, Jinx and Jingles.
He was predeceased by his brother, Dick Astheimer; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Smith and Gail Johns and Gail's husband, Michael.
His family will forever cherish the memories they share – the simple moments, the laughter and his deep loyalty.
All who were touched by his life may call between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine or The Parkinsons Council (parkinsonscouncil.org).
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing his love lives on in each of us.
