Robert M. Flanigan

Robert M. Flanigan, 72, of Upper Gwynedd, husband of Judith Howard Flanigan, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Lansdale Hospital.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Theresa (Keaney) Flanigan, and grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

In the late 1980's, Robert and his wife Judy served as pre-adoptive foster parents for infants with Children's Aid Society, Norristown. He enjoyed beekeeping, gardening and backyard birdwatching and was most happy when he was at home in his garden.  He received his bachelor's degree from Temple University, and in 2012 he retired from Elwyn, Inc. where he was a social worker serving adults with disabilities. Bob and Judy were married in 1981 and have lived in Upper Gwynedd for the past 41 years.

Surviving with his wife is son Brian Flanigan; daughter Renee Flanigan; granddaughter Allana and her mother Breeana Somers; sisters Maureen Flanigan, Paula Donahue, wife of Michael, and Ellen Flanigan; and brother Thomas Flanigan and brother-in-law Scott Howard, husband of Jacqui. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his son Mark Flanigan.
