Robert N. Moore

Robert N. Moore, 64, of Lansdale PA, passed away unexpectantly on September 3, 2026. 

Robert was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. He entered the United States Army upon high school graduation where he served over 30 years until his honorable discharge. He began his military career as a 67U20 CH-47C Helicopter repairer and later transitioned from active duty to the Army reserves where he served as an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector / Crew Chief for A Co. and D Co. 4 /158th Aviation Regiment, Senior Aircraft and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Instructor for the 5/80th Ordinance Battalion, and G7 Training NCOIC for the 78th Training Division. He proudly served as Group Command Sergeant Major with the 656th Area Support Group and Battalion Command Sergeant Major with the 157thCSSB, 99th RRC. During his time in service, he earned the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Metal with Oak Leaf, National Defense Service Medal, and a bachelor’s degree in business management. As a civilian employee, he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic with the ASF 28, 99th RRC and as a Heavy Equipment Repairer with the AMSA116, 99TH RRC. He was a Senior Quality Assurance / Product Specialist with DLA at the time of his passing. 

Robert was above all, a deeply devoted husband and father, who was known for his humor, generosity, and strong sense of duty. Robert approached life with curiosity and laughter. He saw the best in people, celebrated their accomplishments, and always encouraged others to keep growing, learning and to reach their highest potential. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan, daughter Caley (Thomas) Washington, sisters Sara Moore and Mary (Daniel) Chilsen, his canine companion, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who he cherished. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Alice Moore and brother Thomas Moore. 

A military service honoring his life will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940 on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 11am.
