Robert V. Shenton

Robert V. Shenton, 93, of Hatfield, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026.  He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Nemetch) Shenton, his wife of 67 years.

Born March 26, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Robert and Grace (VanBlargan) Horney.

Mr. Shenton was employed with Green Tweed, Lansdale, for over 35 years.  He also owned numerous rental properties throughout the North Penn area, and he loved working and caring for his properties.  Bob served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses since the age of 16 and was associated with the Lansdale Congregation for many years.

Bob loved eating with family and friends, especially Yocco's hot dogs and Knoebels funnel cake.  He will be remembered for his witty disposition and dedication to his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, April Roesing (Gary) of Pipersville, PA, Rebecca Shenton of Lansdale, Angie Shenton of Hatfield, and Sergio Cargitlado of Beverly, NJ; two grandchildren, Jennae Truelove (Justin), and Autumn Kidwell (Ryan); nine great-grandchildren, Jackson, Juliet, Isla, Tristian, Aidan, Charlie, Layla, Logan, and Ledger; and two half-sisters.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon; and brother, Harry Horney.

Funeral arrangements are pending and under the direction of the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
