Ronald E. Bywaters, Jr.

Ronald E. Bywaters, Jr., 80, of Hatfield, died Sunday, April 6, 2025.  He was the beloved husband of Adelaide (Hicks) "Adele" Bywaters, his wife of 61 years.

Born April 29, 1944 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Helene (Koenig) and Ronald E. Bywaters, Sr.

Mr. Bywaters graduated from Ursinus College and earned his MBA from DeSales University.  He was employed as an executive for many years, retiring from Honeywell after 30 years of employment.  He also worked as an evening professor at Ursinus College.

Earlier in life, Ron served as a Hatfield Township Commissioner for eight years.  His hobbies included woodworking, storytelling, and word sleuthing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Ronald E. Bywaters III and wife, Susan Marie, of Schwenksville, and Christopher W. Bywaters and wife, Paula, of Harleysville; four grandchildren, Stephanie Bywaters Sylvester and husband ,Thomas, of Collegeville, Thomas C. Bywaters of Harleysville, Mackenzie Bywaters of Schwenksville, and Elizabeth Bywaters of Harleysville; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Brynnley, and Owen; and his sister, Helen Henson of Hatfield.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Bywaters.

Relatives and friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be private.
