Rose N. Depman

Rose N. Depman, 90, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Born July 6, 1934 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Adele (Besso) Saccarelli

Rose graduated from Dobbins High School, Philadelphia, with the Class of 1952.  She began her career as a secretary with Sinclair Oil.  After several years at home raising her children and volunteering at their schools and extracurricular events, as well as at polling locations on election day, she returned to the workforce, impressively working her way up to Assistant VP, Industrial Vally Bank, Jenkintown and Horizon Financial, Huntingdon Valley.  She retired in 1999 as an IT Consultant with the Integrated Banking Applications team of Hogan Systems.

Rose was a longtime parishioner of Saint David's Catholic Church, Willow Grove, and, more recently, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lansdale. For the past 15 years, she was a resident of the Dock Woods community, where she had many friends and was a favorite amongst the residents and staff for her engaging style, her friendly and spunky nature, and sense of humor and in later years, for her resilience and steadfastness.

She enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, NJ throughout her lifetime and was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan, attending many Phillies' Opening Day ceremonies, and always ready to share a strong opinion about the latest trades, slumps, successes and coaching decisions. She loved to cook and entertain, frequently hosting meals and parties for her extended family and friends, who will tell you her meatballs were gold standard! Over the years Rose enjoyed traveling across the US and Europe and especially enjoyed her time in her father's hometown of Bolsena Italy, bringing her Italian and American families together. Mostly, she treasured time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Linda M. Strange (James) of Lancaster, and Stephen G. Depman (Carol) of Lansdale; five grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica), Emily (Joseph), Christopher (Ashleigh), Katie, and Colin; three great-grandchildren, Nora, Grant, and Carter, a sister-in-law, Beatrice Saccarelli of Hatboro, and many nieces and nephews who she adored.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl "Raymond," Romolo and Bruno Saccarelli; and her sister-in-law, Rita Saccarelli.

Relatives and friends may call between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m. Friday, January 31 at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, with Words of Remembrance at 10:50 a.m.  The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m.   Burial will be private in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
