Rosemary Scopinich, 80, of Doylestown and formerly of Philadelphia and North Wales, died Monday, February 2, 2026. "Rosie" was the beloved wife of Gordon J. Scopinich, her husband of 59 years.
Born November 4, 1945 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Frosch) McLaughlin.
Rosie's mom would often send her to the local ACME to pick up groceries. There, she met Gordon, who worked as a cashier. Before long, the two began dating and built a relationship that lasted more than six decades.
Rosie loved holidays. Her Thanksgiving stuffing was the family's favorite dish. She painted Christmas ornaments and gave them as gifts. She adopted and loved many dogs throughout her life. Above all else, though, she loved Gordon, her three sons, and her cherished grandchildren. She loved having them stay at her house for sleepovers, Yahtzee, and other board games. She truly loved her roles as Mom and Grandmom.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Thomas G. Scopinich of Lansdale, Robert J. Scopinich of Blue Bell, and David A. Scopinich (Cheryl) of Lafayette Hill; and five grandchildren, Marissa, Shawn, Matthew, Luke, and Emma.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Maryann Kluzinski.
Graveside services will be held privately in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
